The Boyce Thompson Arboretum

If you like the outdoors, and you’re not out there right now, and you’re looking for somewhere to go, and you live in Arizona, (and you haven’t stopped reading because of all the run-ons in this sentence), check out the Boyce Thompson Arboretum. I have been performing music there for years, and I can’t think of a better place to spend a day with your family or your significant other or your favorite guitar player (or your grammar checker)–you can even bring your dog!

They have several scenic trails that are easy to hike, and include both sun and shade. They have a lake, a creek, an herb garden, a picnic area, and much more. The staff is friendly, helpful, and informative. I almost bumped into a coatimundi there once! If you love the outdoors in Arizona, check it out. –R
